What is the difference between Identical Twins & Fraternal Twins?

Identical Twins. Identical twins are formed when a single fertilized egg splits into two. This means they share 100% of their DNA and are always the same sex. Identical twins often look very similar, but environmental factors like womb position and life experiences can make them look slightly different. Fraternal Twins. Fraternal twins are formed when two separate eggs are fertilized by two different sperm. This means they share about 50% of their DNA, just like any other siblings. Fraternal twins can be the same or different sexes and usually don’t look more alike than other siblings.
